We are happy to announce the commencement of operation in the Bulimba region of Brisbane. Glen Diskin has become the newest addition to our franchise network, he will be providing Coochie lawn treatments and ongoing maintenance to Brisbane lawns through our Lawn Care Program.
One of Glen’s close friends became a Coochie employee and area manager in the Brisbane area in 2020 and told Glen all about the business. Glen already had a background in turf care as he worked for a large operational maintenance department of the local government for over 20 years, overseeing a large portfolio of parks, gardens, bushlands, street landscaping, waterways and storm water assets.
Glen loves lawn care, and the purchase of a Coochie HydroGreen franchise allows him to provide outcomes to clients who love their lawns as much as he does. He saw the success of this business through the products used and knew he had to be a part of it to take his passion and make it profitable.
After a number of preliminary phone calls with our CEO and a detailed review of the Coochie HydroGreen business information memorandum Glen contacted Coochie to get the ball rolling. He then carried out his due diligence which included speaking to a number of other Coochie Franchisees. Once he was satisfied with their enquires Glen made the call to officially join Coochie and begin the franchising process.
After completing all necessary accreditations and our training program, Glen had the knowledge and experience to hit the ground running in Bulimba.
Coochie HydroGreen’s head office has provided “top class support” from day one, starting with the first phone call with our CEO. Glen told head office “The level of dedication and commitment from the staff and management to the franchisees in ensuring success is second to none from my experiences.”
So far he is loving the breath of fresh air from working for himself and is loving learning from and the support from other neighbouring franchisees and head office. His territory stretches along the south bank of the Brisbane river from Murarrie to the gateway bridge around to West End, what a great view he gets from his office!
He still has a lot to learn in business, but is excited for what the future holds and where this new venture can take him. This purchase of a Coochie HydroGreen Franchise has meant that Glen is now building a valuable asset that will continue to grow both in profitability and value over the coming years. Glen is a welcome addition to our ever-expanding network of franchisees in Queensland and we are keen to see his growth from a greenfield to mature business over the coming years.
